Hybrid app for Austrian Post

The Austrian Post Card Studio - developed by Objectbay and implemented as Hybrid app for Android, iOS and Web - enables the custom design of postcards with the option for personalized mass mailing.

A team of seven agile software developers took on the development of the Post Card Studio. Working closely with an IT project manager and a product owner from the postal service, the workload was estimated using user stories and planned in two-week sprints. ACL, a reliable external partner, was on hand to implement the shop logic.

The entire project was implemented, as is standard at Objectbay, using Scrum and an agile mindset from the developers. In addition to daily stand-ups, refinements, and planning sessions, there were also regular retrospectives, all of which were held entirely remotely for the first time.

The original postcard mobile app, primarily aimed at the B2C market, has evolved into the new Post Card Studio. This new app can now also be used as a web application and is suitable for B2B applications, such as personalized mass mailings of Christmas cards. Users can design their postcards entirely from scratch or choose from over 150 templates covering a wide range of themes.

A dedicated editor allows users to create their own personalized postcards. The editor offers countless design options, such as modifying the entire card layout or individual tiles. The design can be customized by adding text, images, stickers, graphics, and personal addresses.
