Two previous attempts with other partners had failed: The systems remained incomplete and could not meet the complex requirements. The existing software reached its limits when processing the large volumes of data, particularly in terms of speed and stability.
Furthermore, various production lines with different machine types and processes had to be integrated into a central database. Each battery has to pass several tests and remains in quarantine for several weeks to ensure quality and safety. The new system had to recognize whether a battery was being tested for the first or second time and correctly assign the data.
The product is central to the production of Banner batteries. Every machine that processes a battery writes data to the battery database. This data is analyzed, and the software calculates decisions (OK or NOK). The goal is to ensure the most error-free and automated process possible.
The software captures all relevant production data, from battery identification via QR code to linking it to customer data. The data must be available in real time for both quality assurance and production decisions.

Following a thorough selection process, Banner Batteries chose Objectbay. Our agile approach was a key factor, as it allows for flexibility and iterative improvements. Given the dynamic project requirements, the ability to react quickly to new insights during implementation was essential.
Another advantage was the straightforward communication. The proposal was clearly defined, collaboration was effective from the outset, and the chemistry between the teams was excellent
